Gabriel goes home!!

Yippee, today we get to take our little man home. I have had enough of this place and can't wait to be in my own bed again. Don't get me wrong the staff have been wonderful but I would much rather be in the comfort of my own home where I can set the pace of the day.

Terence arrived bright and early again and helped me pack to go home. I was only allowed to leave at 11am so we ad time to get ourselves sorted out. The paediatrician came past again to check up on Gabriel. He has a bit of a rash but other than that he is all good. The rash should go away by itself within a few days. Apparently it is quite normal and a lot of newborns get it.

A lady popped by before we left to test Gabriel's ears. He failed the test as he still has some amniotic fluid in each ear. We have to make an appointment to take him back to be re-tested. The lady who did the test doesn't think there is cause for concern but said we should just do the re-test in any case.

11am and time to leave. Gabe and myself were signed out and it was time to journey on home. We put Gabe in his car seat and man did he look cute. He is so tiny that he is almost lost in it. He didn't make a sound the entire ride home. Once home we unpacked the bags and just sat and looked on in awe at our gorgeous son. I can't believe it, we are PARENTS!! Who would have thought.
