Yip today is out last Saturday as a twosome. Never again will it be just the two of us. It is both a scary yet exciting prospect.
Most people seem to think that we need to do something overly special or exciting to mark the occasion but for us that just doesn't make sense. We decided to spend the day doing the usual things we would normally do on a weekend as these are the things we would miss if we did miss anything at all after the birth of our son. It is usually the mundane every day stuff that people say they miss the most so we decided that we would do just that. We relaxed most of the day but we also did a few DIY things that needed to be sorted out around the house but nothing too hectic.
Then this evening after a lovely day together we went out for a nice meal at the Steakery. I just love their mississippi mud pie so that was the deciding factor on where we would dine for the evening. It was great, we chatted about the future, about what we thought our little boy would look like and about the fears and hopes we had going forward with our new family unit.
In general we just enjoyed each others company.
So we are now one day closer to meeting our baby and the excitement is mounting!!
